Stainless Steel 321 Coil / Slitting Coil contains 17–19% chromium, 9–12% nickel, and titanium added in proportions of at least five times the carbon content to ensure stabilization. This prevents carbide formation during high-temperature exposure and welding. The alloy provides a tensile strength of about 515 MPa, yield strength around 205 MPa, and elongation near 40%. SS 321 maintains excellent toughness and oxidation resistance up to 870°C, offering reliable mechanical performance in environments involving thermal cycling and elevated temperatures.
