Stainless Steel 321 Sheets and Plates typically contain 17–19% chromium, 9–12% nickel, and titanium in amounts of at least five times the carbon content for stabilization. This titanium addition prevents carbide formation during welding and high-temperature exposure. The material offers tensile strength of around 515 MPa, yield strength of about 205 MPa, and elongation near 40%. SS 321 also retains good toughness and oxidation resistance up to 870°C, maintaining structural integrity and mechanical reliability in environments involving continuous heat cycles.
