Stainless Steel 904L Coils and Slitting Coils are composed primarily of 19-23% chromium, 4.5-5.5% nickel, 1.5-2% molybdenum, and a small amount of copper. This unique composition provides excellent resistance to corrosion, especially in aggressive environments with high concentrations of chloride ions and acids. The mechanical properties include a tensile strength of around 520 MPa, yield strength of approximately 220 MPa, and an elongation of 35%. Stainless Steel 904L is highly resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion, making it ideal for chemical processing, pharmaceutical, and marine applications.
