Super Duplex Steel Sheets and Plates consist of an approximately equal mix of austenitic and ferritic phases, giving them a balanced and highly durable structure. Their alloy makeup typically includes 19–28% chromium for strong corrosion resistance, 4–7% nickel for improved toughness, and 2–3% molybdenum to enhance pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. Small additions of nitrogen, copper, and tungsten further strengthen the alloy and improve performance in harsh environments. Mechanically, these sheets and plates offer a tensile strength of 620–850 MPa, yield strength of 450–600 MPa, and about 25% elongation, making them ideal for demanding offshore, marine, and chemical-processing applications.
